Abstract

In this research wors, the critica1 drought of the winter 1988-89 in Spain is studied from the dinarnic climatology standpoint. Europe was interested in the drought in its Westem, Central and Mediterranean slopes, being recorded a marked positive thennic anomaly. So, we are facing with a noticeable anomaly. There had never been such a dry winter in Asturias, in the observatory placed in Oviedo, since 1876. It is pointed out the incidence of the Pacific anticyclone in the drought of the Iberian Peninsula
