WATER IN THE COMUNIDAD DE CASTILLA-LA MANCHA. THE ALBACETE INSTANCE
Abstract
The spi-ead of irrigation in this Comunidad is a fact which has taken place in a very rapid way during the past few years and which has brought about a considerable reduction of the ti-aditionally unirrigated land. But this increase has not heen adapted to the measures previously planned even though i t has been reached together with high rentahility of the products obtained (corn and forage). Moreover. the excehsive abuse in the use of subterranean water has considerably diminished the capacity of the aquatic ecosystem. For these and other reasons, it hecomes necessary to inquire about its futui-e evolution. All these circumstances have a special incidente in the province of Albacete.Downloads
