Abstract
This article offers an approach to the concept of hydro-social cycle from the perspective of the political ecology of water. This theoretical analysis facilitates the study of the conflict between the Argentine provinces of La Pampa and Mendoza over Atuel River using a matrix to explain the elements that interact in the hydro-social cycle and determine the consequences that they generate. The goal is to analyse the hydro-social cycle and its application to the problem in an area located in the west of the province of La Pampa, whose organizing axis is Atuel River. Likewise, it aims at studying interprovincial conflicts which are generated and the aspects which make up the above mentioned cycle. The problem is dealt with and analysed in depth through the reading of the work of specialists in the area and the sources which have been analysed up to now such as: cadastral measures, testimonies of inhabitants and official documents.Downloads
