Abstract
This research covers the territory of Mexico and aims to understand and evaluate the distribution of the complexity and heterogeneity of the physical-geographical landscapes of this country. To achieve this, two indicators of complexity were applied; one of richness and a diversity to map natural landscapes of Mexico at 1: 500 000. The results indicate that Mexico is a mosaic geoecological where spatially alternating units of varying heterogeneity and complexity, continuously. Even the most simple and homogeneous geoecosystems, contain a high richness of lower units.Downloads
