Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present the various steps required to achieve integrated
rural development. This requires thinking about the new functionality of rural areas, the
dysfunctions that affect their development, qualitative advantages and actors and strategies
that must come into play. We conclude that position in the emerging spatial hierarchy can
not be done at any price, and it is not easy, so it is necessary to mobilize all local synergies.
