The progress made in updating the evolution of land uses in the periurban space of the «Huerta area of Murcia» (Murcia, Spain). Review SIOSE 2005-2009
Abstract
The Information System Land Cover in Spain (SIOSE) is a reference for all of Europe in terms of geographic information. In this update work shows the land use and changes occurring within a suburban space «Huerta de Murcia» (Murcia, Spain) during the period 2005-2009, according to the requirements of the European Union, the State General Administration and region of Murcia on land use.The methodology is aimed at computer-assisted photo interpretation, obtaining a database whose structure SIOSE to model object-oriented data, being the basis of a conceptual data model, standardized, interoperable and harmonized land coverResults are obtained remarkable changes, mainly increasing Artificial Composed coverage: housing, buildings, shopping centers and infrastructure, to the detriment of covered Simple: Herbaceous and Grassland and composed coverage Huerta Family. These changes are a consequence of the improvement in the geographical database SIOSE urban policy and planning and management of the territory, together with the new challenges facing agriculture in the Huerta de Murcia.Downloads
