NATURAL HAZARDS AND THEIR PERCEPTION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAZARRÓN (MURCIA)
Abstract
We study the natural hazards that affect the municipality of Mazarrón (floods, droughts, seismicity, cold waves, heat waves, storms and landslides), and analyzed, with 150 surveys (to different groups with different levels of training), perception of risk to which the population, what risks they know, how they think may affect the territory, if they feel safe, and that memories have the citizens who lived through the disaster of the Rambla de Las Moreras in 1989. Highlights floods as one of the most important risks and different perception of citizens, by their level of education and occupation. From public administration should ensure proper management of the territory.Downloads
