Universal and accessible tourism. Villuercas-Ibores-Jara’s Geopark - (Caceres)
Abstract
“Tourism for all” should respond primarily to clear principles of engagement in the search for equity and equality from the perspective of a inclusive tourism. The practice of the universal tourism, considering the functional diversity, is a factor of opportunity because of the high percentage of population with this situation and of their increasing aging. The development of an accessible and universal tourism must be promoted in all kinds of destinations, but specially in those that it is a question of increasing his visibility and articulating an offer and a touristic singularized product, differentiated and with a universal scope. The declaration of Villuercas-Ibores-Jara´s– Geopark (Caceres) is a great opportunity to turn it into a destination and a tourist product of reference for the universal and accessible tourism.Downloads
