Abstract

Since 1987, the territory of the Region of Murcia has tried to be ordered, partially or fully, through various legal initiatives. In each of these cases the flood risk valuation has different intensity. Due to the marked spatial transformation process that has been experiencing since then, these environmental aspects should be considered as an active part of planning to avoid gaps between the different land uses. However, as demonstrated in the work presented, environmental regulation is done on a sectoral basis, which results from the point of view of risk, a sequential increase of exposure to danger of floods.
