Abstract

The hydro-meteorological disasters have been and still are a constant in the Levant Hispanic area. This study pretends a shallow approach to the flood damage and flooding due to heavy autumn rainfall, caused in Valencia southern lands during the last quarter of the eighteenth Century. It is also noted the various initiatives taken place by governmental bodies to try to prevent, mitigate or, where appropriate, address the disaster occurred.
