Intervención psicoeducativa para el control de peso en mujeres embarazadas

Resumo

Introdução: Para controlar a obesidade gestacional, é necessário desenhar e implementar intervenções para melhorar a qualidade da alimentação e a atividade física. O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar a eficácia de uma intervenção psicoeducativa de enfermagem para o controle do peso gestacional em gestantes mexicanas.

Métodos: estudo quase-experimental. A amostra final foi de 34 participantes; n1=17 e n2=17. A intervenção psicoeducativa consistiu em 12 sessões, que incluíram técnicas educativas, técnicas cognitivo-comportamentais e ioga pré-natal, durante oito semanas. O grupo controle recebeu cuidados de rotina adicionais e um folheto informativo sobre alimentação saudável. Foram feitas medidas antropométricas antes e após a intervenção, bem como a taxa de retenção na intervenção e a satisfação dos participantes.

Resultados: As gestantes que participaram da intervenção apresentaram menor ganho de peso gestacional do que as do grupo controle (   = 5.17 ± 3.01 vs. ( = 8.03 ± 4.06; t = -2.32, gl = 32, p = ,026 ) A intervenção foi viável, pois 80% cumpriram as sessões agendadas e aceitabilidade satisfatória, 76,5% dos participantes mencionaram que a qualidade do programa foi excelente e 100% mencionaram que receberam a ajuda que esperavam.

Conclusão: A intervenção psicoeducativa favorece o controle do peso gestacional no grupo experimental em relação ao grupo controle. Intervenções psicoeducacionais são recomendadas para controlar o ganho de peso durante a gravidez.
