Abstract

The present work aims to analyse Mustio’s work, entitled Gynaecia. Through this analysis we want to explore the first steps of our profession. Midwiving and neonatal care have been, from antiquity, a work by and for women. In this text, written in a style to be memorized, it is shown the author’s interest in the formation of the women offering attention to the women giving birth. A qualitative method is used. Internal and external textual critic of the document.
