PROTOCOL IN NURSING CARES TO PATIENTS UNDER NEURON- RADIOLOGY INTERVENTION IN U.R.P.A.
Abstract
Introduction: La neuron-radiology intervention or embolización consists of the introduction of several substances throughout a catheter by intra-artery way, generally by femoral artery, in order to suppress the blood circulation from an injury temporal or definitely. It arises as an alternative treatment to conventional surgery. Being less aggressive, it can be considered as the right election for cerebral aneurysms (C.A) and arterio venous malformations (A.V.M). Although it is less bloody, it involves a significant morbidity, hence the importance of monitoring and control by the nursery staff in the following 24 hours after the intervention. The procedures will be done by means of sedatives and local anaesthetic. General anaesthetic will be only used with patients who do not show collaboration. The monitoring consists of electrocardiograms registers, oxygen saturation, temperature, blood pressure and total diuresis. Objectives: - To unify intervention criterion in nursery cares to patients under C.A and A.V.M embolización. - To detect early complications because of the procedures. Methodology: A standard care programme was done by means of the own professional experience of nurses and the bibliography revision about care programmes in patients under this procedure. The taxonomy from nursery diagnosis of NANDA and the classification of interventions and objectives of the NIC and the NOC was chosen. Results: Through the methodology mention above, a programme of standardized cares is developed, which later should be treated in a individual way, since every patient is a biopsicosocial human being, independent and unique being. Conclusions: By means of the nursery protocol to patients under C.A and V.A.M embolizacion the quality of them are improved and at the same time the patient has more security during the postoperative phase in URPA. Furthermore, we hope that this article could be useful for the new staff.Downloads
