Abstract

Most of adolescents have had sexual experiences and many of them have a regular sexual activity. Unfortunately, few of them have competent information about the risks, such as sexual transmission diseases, non-wanted pregnancies, and how to protect themselves from these risks. The pregnancy figures in teenagers have been increasing in the last years. In Spain the percentage of mothers teenagers is about 6%. It is important to note that a pregnancy in the adolescence has greater obstetric and perinatal risk. Adolescent pregnancy has been considered a “new urban epidemic”.
