DETERIORATION PREVAILING IN THE SLEEPING PATTERNS IN THE NURSING STUDENTS FROM HUELVA.
Abstract
Necessity of rest and sleep is essential for health and even more in the student community. For this reason, it is considered a fundamental element to be worked from a nurse perspective. Aim: To know prevalence students with deterioration of the sleeping patterns in the first and second academic year of Nurse University School of Huelva, 2005-2006. To describe the distribution of the related factors and the characteristics defining it. To characterize the diagnosed cases according to the variables person and place. Method: The used design was an observational, descriptively, and cross-sectional study, where seventy students were polled. These students were in their first and second academic year. The information was obtained through a personal questionnaire of twenty-eight questions. The program SPSS 12.0 was used for the statistical analysis of the information. The qualitative variables were studied by means of the calculation of the frequencies. For two variables analysis of the qualitative variables was applied the test X2. Results: The deterioration of the sleeping patterns appears in the half of the studied population. Changes in the sleeping patterns, feeling fatigued by the daily activity, sleeping less than seven hours a day, and changing the habits of sleeping patterns are the most relevant results.Downloads
