Abstract

Qualitative study carried out with 48 families connected to services that help in situations of domestic violence, Rio Grande. It has as the objective to evaluate the indexes of satisfaction in these families, in relation to the care that they receive in the social institutions of the city. Data were collected through a questionnaire with questions taken from the scale of user evaluation satisfaction with mental health services (SATIS, BR). The questions done refer to the accessibility of services, resolution, services infrastructure, and respectability of the user. The results reveal that, generally, the users are satisfied with the attention they receive. They also show the existence of some flaws like temporary contracts of the professionals, non-existence or insufficiency in the specialized assistance (psychiatrics), and inappropriate physical space for the care of families, among other issues. It is concluded that user’s satisfaction constitutes an important indicator in the evaluation of services, taking into account variables that can influence the answers of the users. Like their educational level and social-economic situation.
