CONSIDERACIONES DE ENFERMERÍA SOBRE LA BALNOTERAPIA EN EL CUIDADO AL QUEMADO.

Abstract

Only entering the team of Nursing of the Center of Treatment of Burnt (CTQ) of the Hospital of the Andaraí, Rio de Janeiro, searching a reference for the treatment of the burnt one, I identified a great gap in nursing literature. When searching theoretical references for my practice, besides having visualized during the learning process of the sector routines that the balneotherapy, in the differentiated form as it is made, is the base for the treatment given to the burnt patient in the CTQ. The object of the study is the nursing of the CTQ and its relation with the balneotherapy. The objectives were to point out nursing observations on the balneotherapy in the care to the burnt patient, to detach the importance of the nurse and its team in the assistance to the burnt patient, and to diminish the gap on the subject in nursing literature. The methodological way was the bibliographical revision in addition to the participant comment of the author, in the learning process of the routines. The final observations mention the excellence to the treatment offered in the CTQ and the participation accomplishes nursing team in all the stages of the balneotherapy routine in the patients, demanding from the professional: physical effort and emotional involvement. It was notice that despite the great involvement of the nurse with the burnt patient, few registers are made. This gives the impression of an absence of the nurse in the assistance of the burnt patient.
