SEGUNDA ETAPA Y FECHA DE APERTURA DE RECEPCIÓN DE MANUSCRITOS
It is a pleasure for us to inform that the magazine “Global Nursing” will resume its activity as of July 1, 2024.
A few months ago, its founder, director and editor-in-chief, Professor María José López Montesinos, announced the closure of the First Stage of the magazine, which began its journey in 2002. We cannot forget or fail to recognize the excellent work carried out by Professor Montesinos, who with her initiative, work, and professional and scientific quality, has contributed inestimably to the dissemination of scientific advances in the nursing discipline at crucial times for the advancement of our profession. As she herself pointed out, it was a journey full of ups and downs and difficulties, but also satisfaction. Today we can say that the journal Global Nursing occupies a prominent place in the complicated circuit of scientific publications and is a reference journal for Nursing at the national and international level.
In this context, it is up to us, in this Second Stage, to assume the continuity of the magazine with the aim that it continues to play that essential role as a means of disseminating scientific progress in Nursing, which is a challenge and, at the same time , an exciting challenge. To this end, we have formed a new editorial team made up of expert professionals involved in the need, not only to guarantee the continuity of the journal, but also to provide a new point of view that allows us to evolve and adapt to current methodological approaches. evaluation systems, editorial policies, sustainability systems, dissemination and bibliometric accreditation of scientific publications.
In this sense, we inform you that, along with the remodeling of the team and the editorial flow system, other changes have been assumed, such as the level of demand in the acceptance of manuscripts, the presence on social networks, or the frequency of publications , which from 2025 will be quarterly. The objective that motivates these changes is to preserve the current quality of the journal, guarantee its continuity, and increase its relevance, if possible, increasing its presence in national and international databases and repositories.
From here we urge authors, readers, reviewers, collaborators of the journal and members of the scientific committees to continue contributing in the way they have been doing until now in order to maintain the high levels of quality achieved throughout All these years.
THE PLATFORM WILL ALLOW THE RECEIPT OF NEW MANUSCRIPTS FROM JULY 1, 2024.
Authors who sent their work at the end of the first stage (and who for this reason were not evaluated) must send it again.
We strongly encourage authors to review the submission instructions and the new editorial policy, as significant changes have been made.
