Ethics and social work: Reflection of the profession: path of citizenship

Abstract

The results presented in this paper are part of a broader research conducted by faculty of theUniversity of Valladolid (2013), on ethics in the profession of social work in the provinces of Valladolid and Palencia. From the qualitative analysis of the discourse itself, the word of the workers / social aswell as actors and indispensable part of the system in which they are embedded, their voice and feel every day, born of practice and daily contact with citizens is collected. This report is an attempt to systematize the necessity and reality of ethics in everyday practice field where discourse and reality mutually supportive progress, growth and adaptation of the profession today, with the gradual dismantling of the social services system that decline vested rights of citizenship. The discussion of results will reflectthat help reveal the feeling that determines professional ethics in action and give clues to develop recommendations that advance our profession from the training field.
