Abstract

An interpretation is offered of the documentary and historical significance of three complementary types of building in the Mediaeval Kingdom of Murcia. The most widespread is the «house» in its various forms. particulary among urban populations. Documentary sources are very sparse concerning the «barraca» (peasant s hut). Sorne ...palaces... first seem to appear as warehouses attached to houses associated with large-scale economic activities.
