Abstract

Study of a weight in bronze alloy found at the excavations of the Roman Theatre of Cartagena, in a commercial area of tabernae. With a nominal value of four nomismata, expressed in greeks numerals, and a weight of 16,76 grammes, this piece is dated for
archeological context about the end of the sixth century and the beginning of the seventh century A.D., therefore during the period of the byzantine occupation in the south east of Spain.
