Abstract

A new technique for visualizing the renal structure based on the use "in vivo" of three fluorochromes is developed. Two fluorochromes (Rhodamine 6GO and Phosphine 3R) are injected through yugular pathway with 10 minutes interval between them, and the third one (Tiofiavine S) is injected in the kidney via transureleral. This technique allows to observe directly through epifiuorescent microscopy the assay and localization of renal elements, and to obtain conclusions about renal physiology in relation to venous "estasis", tubular funclional continuity, flux abilily through glomerular capillaries, as well as the discrimination between functional, half-functional or non-functional nephrones after ureteral occlusion experimentally induced of monolateral hydronephrose in rats during increasing periods ot time.
