OTRA ENFOQUE DE LA REALIDAD: EL PUNTO DE VISTA INFANTIL

Abstract

(…)If for shkolvsky art had as the main objective disantomation of habitual perception of reality the vision of the World not as a mere acknowledgement, no doubt it is totally true in those literary works in which the narrative device we will try to study in this article is present. This device is the focusing of the whole story, throught the child’s vision, a singular perspective which will cast a new light on the happenings and the people around him. Obviously in a study about the point of view throught which an author decides filter his work, we cannot omit the name of Henry James, who precisely wrote a novel whose  main character was a little girl. This was then, the first work we chose amoung an ample collection of samples doubtless existent on the same narrative device, first introductive example which will be followed by others with an evident common element: the child as a main character. “Los Pazos de Ulloa” finishes this study, which will extend to various literary works and authors, in a way that after the progressive development of it. We think the meaning of a certain chapter in the novel acquires more clarity and interest (…)
