Abstract

Floristic and phytosociological study of the lichens in a group of noncalcareous outcrops on the Tramuntana Sena (Mallorca). 121 taxons are named, of which 38 are, as far as we know, new records for the Balearic islands and 18 are also new for Mallorca. Among the most remarkable species we wish to name Acarospora versicolor, Lecidella scabra, Micarea intrusa, Phaephyscia cernohorskyi, Rinodina oxydata and Squamarina stella-petrae. A couple of associations have also been detected: Parmelietum conspersae and Parmelietun tinctinae. Other communities are found only in a fragmentary state, and are difficult to include in any of the recognized associations.
