Abstract

The professional competencies are related to epistemological, sociological, political and practical issues that should be worked from a multidimensional and integral learning perspective. Understanding, interpreting and contextual applying of different cognitive, personal, social and ethical resources represent the internal structure of the competence, so as the learning to learn abilities for the competences change and improvement could be developed over time. The competencies theoretical framework adopted could have practical implications for the career design at the university. This article claims for a process design model as it offers a more balanced and integrated approach than the objective model for dealing the contents, the competencies, the teaching and learning strategies and the evaluation in a interactive way.
