Abstract

This paper reviews the changes taking place in the role and abilities of teaching in the context of new scenarios, including TIC, and constructivism as a new learning paradigm. It also reviews the difficulties teachers have to assume these role changes, which dramatically differs from the more traditional. Finally, the author proposes an analytic approach to this new scenario from four fundamental approaches: technical, pedagogical, social and epistemological, and mentions future lines of research.
