Abstract

This paper describes the teaching innovation projects in the framework of the European Higher Education Area carried out at the University of Valencia during the last academic year. It focuses on the project developed for the chemistry degree, where a pilot group in the first course has been implemented in order to test new learning strategies and methodologies. The main features of the project are the change from teaching-centred to learning-centred education, the importance of generic competences, the coordination of the teachers, a personalised service for the students and the regular use of the new technologies of information and communication.
