Abstract

The same as it happens in chess, the queen inside the medieval court is an essential part, due to her privileged position within power and politics of the kingdom. The are examples of the active role that a woman can assume in medieval politics, the queenship, where a group of abilities, that men of that age considered exclusively masculine, were withdrawn into a woman’s body. But, in the same way, she can be an enemy to beat when she is opposed to the purposes of other powerful ones. In this case she turns into an entire nuisance of which it is necessary to get rid of her.
