Focus and Scope

The journal Miscelánea Medieval Murciana is a forum for researches on Medieval Spain, Europe and the Mediterranean, paying attention to interdisciplinary approaches, as it has been since the first issue. The spirit of this review still keeps its modernity: It is Miscellanea because of the variety of its researches; Medieval because of the topics, and Murciana because the University ofMurcia it’s a perfect window to understand the Mediterranean world.

Journal History

Since 1973 Miscelánea Medieval Murciana has been sponsored by Medieval History Area of Facultad de Letras (Faculty of Humanities), University of Murcia, and published by Editum, Ediciones de la Universidad de Murcia. The aims of Juan Torres Fontes and Angel Luis Molina, the earliest editors, have come true, creating a perfect forum to put under debate and to promote the Medieval History of Murcia. Currently, still Juan Torres Fontes as director, the journal has a wider perspective without leaving behind the local developments of the Medieval Kingdom of Murcia.
