FROST AND THEIR ECONOMICAL EFFECTS ON FARMING on farming in Murcia
Abstract
Mediterranean farming could be affected by several natural risks mainly climatic ones which interfere in the factors connected with these productive systems. The climatic phenomenon of frost is especially frightful for the agricultural sector due to its serious consequences. This article is an approach to the frosts in the months of January 1985 and January 1991, that produces large economical losses. Prediction systems, defending methods and agricultural insurances are the fundamental bases for a effective fight against these natoral phenomena.Downloads
