Abstract

Thanks to the recordings we know different songs that, for one or another reason, have received the name of cartageneras. The purpose of our study is to offer a wide panorama of the different modalities of this flamenco style, researching on its possible origins and seeing how some of them have evolved to form the melodic types we know today. We will analyze their musical characteristics and we will know many of the lyrics which have been sung.
