LOS CANTARES DE RAMÓN DE CAMPOAMOR EN EL REPERTORIO FLAMENCO

Abstract

The work deals with the repercussion in the flamenco song of the Cantares by Ramón de Campoamor. The poet, totally oblivious to the flamenco atmosphere that emerged in that period, maintains an ideology and a personal philosophy that will have great reach in popular music. His natural and sententious language, very akin to flamenco aesthetics, will facilitate the popularization of his songs that will appear in the books of anonymous popular songs; some of them of Flamenco exclusive. Through the study of his “cantares” (songs) we will analyze some of the mechanisms of popularization of the song, its basic patterns and the elements that model the cultured language towards the popular.
