Condiciones post COVID-19: un análisis de la fatiga y factores asociados
Resumen
Objetivo: Estimar a prevalência de fadiga pós-COVID-19 autorreferida e analisar fatores associados entre residentes do estado da Paraíba, Brasil.
Método: Trata-se de um estudo transversal, do tipo survey online. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre março de 2023 e março de 2024. Foram realizadas estatísticas descritivas e inferenciais. Os preceitos éticos foram respeitados.
Resultados: Foram incluídos 263 participantes, predominantemente do sexo feminino, na faixa etária de 21 a 40 anos, que receberam diagnóstico de Covid-19 apenas uma vez, classificaram sua infecção aguda como leve, estavam vacinados contra Covid-19, não fumavam e consumiam bebidas alcoólicas. A prevalência de fadiga pós-COVID-19 autorrelatada foi de 90,5%. Indivíduos que relataram sintomas persistentes por mais de quatro semanas após a infecção (OR: 5,55; p=0,000) e aqueles que consumiram bebidas alcoólicas (OR: 2,88, p=0,010) foram considerados mais propensos a apresentar fadiga.
Conclusões: A fadiga é o sintoma mais prevalente das condições pós-COVID-19 e foi associada à persistência dos sintomas e ao consumo de álcool.
