Abstract

The following research is based on the analysis of two fragments of African lamps which were found during the excavation works in the curia of Carthago Nova (Cartagena, Spain). Both feature the manufacturer’s signature and its partial preservation has not hindered the identification of his full name: IVNI ALEXI and M NOV IVST. Its discovery within a sealed up stratigraphical context allows us to set out a new proposal about its chronology.
