Abstract

In this work the archaeological sites of the ager of Carthago Nova that present some relation type with the Roman hydraulic engineering are reviewed. It is tried to quantify the diversity and typological variety used beyond the limits of Carthago Nova’s city. The fi nal objective is to value the achievements and technical reaches that the inhabitants of the region reached in Roman time, as for its relationship with the water, its control and employment. A combined vision of all the discoveries allows a better understanding and knowledge of the state of the question.
