Abstract

Funeray cults and rituals show the organization and socioideologic evolution of the Iberian society. At first, funerary cults derive from the belief in sacred monarchies with oriental connotations of Tartesic origin. From the Fifth century they evolve into heroic monarchies such as heroa and these during the Sixth century are replaced by more isonomic and less sunctuary graves. After the Barquid domination they grow and then disappear with the
Romantization. The cults and funeral rites, together with their sanctuaries, are the best «documents» to study the ideological and socioeconimical structure of the Iberic Culture.
