Abstract

This paper presents the study of the wall painting obtained in the Roman uilla of the Torrejones (Yecla, Murcia), a luxuriouse uilla as it is deduced of al1 the found material. We can say that its pictorical decoration includes a varied number of subjects: from the simple red and yellow panels fitted with «bourdures ajourées» and separated by a interpanel with vegetal and figurated lamp/candelabrum, to the decorations with masculine and feminine personages. Therefore, there are two painting groups that we can distinguish: the first is typical painting to the second century and the following sample shows characteristics to the third century.
