Abstract

The Calcolithic period in the South East is a continuation of many traditions of the end of the Neolithic period, but with a series of innovations giving it its own personality; settlements in the open air, forts, circular huts, new ceramic forms and metallurgy. The bell-shape and burial methods, at the end of the Calcolithic period, mark the transition to the Bronze Age.
