Abstract

This article presents an overview of domestic decorative sculpture coming from Hispania by the hand of three cases to study: Tarraco, Carthago Nova and Corduba. To get this goal we have selected 30 pieces whose ascription to urban houses is certain or likely by virtue of its origin. Thanks to these pieces we have made a synthesis of the major sculptural genres present in the hispanic domus and its possible location within them, for which it is very helpful to consider the evidence provided by the cities buried by Vesuvius.
