Abstract

It is studied infestation of 115 goats of the Pirenaica race from several flocks in León (Spain). Faecal examinations revealed that 100% of living goats had parasites. These are. Coccidiosis: Eimeria spp. in 84'32% of individuals; Gastrointestinal nematodes: Skrjabinema spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Chabertia spp., Strongyloides spp., Bunostomum spp., Haemonchus spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Trichuris spp., and Capillaria spp.; Cestodes: Moniezia spp. Leukocytic formula was altered showing neutrophilia skewed to right (40%), eosinophilia (67'25%), lymphopenia (72' 13%), and monocytosis (8'77%). There was not significant correlation between alterations of leukocytic formula and parasitic genera.
