Abstract

Histopathologically it is described a case of a true big tumorous cutaneous horn in a canary, localized in the left side portion of the abdominal region. The base of the horn is constituted of irregular cords and different thickness of stratified squamous epithelium supported by areolar connective tissue and multifocal cartilagenous and osseous differentiation. The base of horn is delimited by a thin band of conective tissues and nodal and diffuse lymphatic infiltration. The free portion of the horn is keratine similar to tubular horns and intertubular substance. The cutaneous horn is the external manifestation of a carcinoma.
