Abstract

Recognition of the importance of studying both teaching and leaming styles introduced a new thrust in educational research: matching teaching styles with learning styles as a mean of enhancing learning of students. Research and development related to matching styles of leaming and teaching has certainly flourished in the past three decades. But is this compelling idea suported empirically, and can practitioners realistically expect to match teaching with learning styles in classroom settings?.
