Abstract

To avoid the school's isolation from its communal context many suggestions have been made according to both the pedagogical analisis which have been carryed out in the last twenty years and to their results. This need has been seen as something which cannot be postponed and, in this way, sorne purposes have been advanced. One of those is the project consisting of using the com· munity socially and phisically -that is the town, the polis- as an educational reference and as an educational resource, strongly linking the schools to their own environment. To apreciate the possibilities of this project is the aim of this article.
