La creación de cultura de evaluación institucional

Abstract

The necessity of evaluating the universities derives from severa! factors which have been built historically. The pressures that the university receives come from various actors: body of students, prívate productive sectors, govemments, intemational financing corporations and society. The authors, taking as a support a deep theoretical reference, analyze this current but very controversia! problem. At first, they make a brief retrospective exposition to place the evaluation process historically. They point out the need for creating an evaluating culture in the universities and characterize different ways that are useful to evaluate as well as present aspects commonly adopted in the institutionalized evaluation.
