Abstract

New data about 21 species of the tribe Animarini and 8 of the tribe Zabrini in the Western Sistema Central Mountains are reported. The subgenus Platyzabrus Jeanne, 1968 is considered to two species: Zabras (Platyzabrus) constritus Graells, 1857 and Z. (Platyzabrus) precondi COIAS. 1942: after a morphological study which corroborates the suggestions of COIAS (1942). If seems that in the Iberian Peninsula most species of the tribe Amarini have a wide distribution whereas many ones of the tribe Zabrini are site-specific and endemic.
