Abstract

42 sawflies species, belonging to the subfamilies Selandriinae, Heterarthrinae and Blennocampinae, are cited, based on specimens collected in the West of Spain. 2 genera: Pseudostromboceros (TAKEUCHI, 1941) and Scolioneura (KONOW, 1890), and 7 species: Pseudostromboceros perplexus (ZOMBORI, 1976), Athalia scutellanae (CAMERON, 1880), Empria immersa (KLUG, 1814), Empria pumila (KONOW, 1896), Ametastegia albipes (THOMSON, 1871), Caliroa cinxia (KLUG, 1814) and Scolioneura betuleti (KLUG, 1814) are new records for the Iberian Peninsula. Data on biology and geographical distribution are also offered.
