Abstract

Several strains belonging to the genera Chlorella, Scenedesmus (Chlorophyceae) and Oscillatoria (Cyanophyceae) have been isolated from urban waste waters where they live as resting stages their culture, both in secondary treatment efluent of the same waste waters and in artificial media, has allowed us to know some of their autoecological preferences: thermal optima, nutrition, growth rates and SO on.
