CONTRIBUTION TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHEILANTHETALIA MARANTO-MADERENSIS COMMUNITIES IN VALENCIAN MOUNTAINS (SPAIN)

Abstract

Pteridophytic plant communities, where Cheilanthes marantae and Ch. maderensis are dominat, Iying on sunny silicic rockly places, in Valencia region (Spain) are studied. These communities can be assigned to phytosociological order Cheilanthetalia maranto-maderensis Sáenz & Rivas-Martínez 1979, alliance Asplenio obovati- Cheilanthion maderensis (Loisel 1970) Sáenz & Rivas-Martínez 1979, association Cheilanthetum maranto-maderensis (O. 801ós, 1956) nomo nov. Two subassociations are commented for this association: cheilanthetosum maderensis, characteristic of the lower mountains, and asplenietosum septentrionalis, present in the upper mountains.
