Abstract

The chemical composition (depsides and depsidones) of samples of Melanelia acetabulum (Neck) Essl. ( = Parmelia acetabulum (Neck) Duby) recolected in five spanish localities and samples of Pseudevernia fuñuracea (L) Zopf recollected throughout an altitudinal transect of Spanish Sistema Central (Sierra de Guadarramal are studied. The samples of Melanelia acetabulum were found to contain norstictic and connorstictic acids, but the presence of atranorin was not detected in the samples recolected at the Iberolevantines localities. In Pseudevemia fuñuracea is noticed that de only chemical strain present is that containing physodic and oxyphysodic acids.
