Abstract

Information on the distribution and ecology of forty higrophilous taxa founds in the Segura basin is provided; Evax nevadensis, Knautia nevadensis, Centaurea debeauxii subsp. nevadensis, Lotus glacialis, Lythrum tribracteatum, Potentilla neumanniana, Sanguisorba officinalis, Succisella andreae-molinae, Vicia bithynica and V. lathyroides are the more interesting records. Other important taxa wich are rare or need special protection are the following: Betula pendula subsp. fontqueri, Delphinium emarginatum subsp. nevadense, Populus canescens, Ranunculus aduncus and Teucrium campanulatum.
